Our Projects

The Friends for a Social Cause Foundation has developed participatory action research projects since the beginning of its work, focusing on children and young people from extremely vulnerable communities in Bogotá and Cundinamarca.

The purpose of these projects is to strengthen the psycho-pedagogical development of our beneficiaries through playful activities that enrich their knowledge through creative, engaging, and interactive workshops. These workshops foster self-esteem and teamwork skills among the children.

Currently, we are carrying out three projects in the territories:

01

TINI "Land of boys and girls"

This project's main objective is to educate, empower, and transform children from vulnerable communities into active defenders of the environment through research, the creation of gardens, and the promotion of sustainable practices, thus contributing to the well-being of communities and the care of the planet.

02

Bilingual Libraries "Diverse Worlds"

The project seeks to create an enriching environment that motivates children to read and explore literature in their native languages and in English, thus promoting the development of critical and creative reading skills.

We will seek to foster understanding and respect for the different cultures and traditions that make up our communities, through a selection of books that reflect the diversity of the world and the inclusion of characters from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

SenticreARTE "empowering children through theatre, dance and the arts for healthy emotional management"

Through artistic activities such as theater and dance, we allow children to express their emotions creatively, which helps them manage stress, anxiety, and traumatic experiences in a healthier way.

04

Play, run, live
"Education through sport"

To foster the holistic development of children from vulnerable communities through sports, providing them with the necessary tools to improve their physical, emotional, and social skills. The project promotes inclusion, teamwork, and discipline, while encouraging active participation in sports activities that contribute to their well-being and personal growth.
